The Facts:
- Not a single Democrat voted for Governor John Kasich’s Jobs Budget which he signed June 2011. The results of his budget eliminated an $8 billion budget shortfall and cut taxes to spur job growth.
- Only two of 40 House Democrats (and Only 8 Senate Democrats) voted to create Governor Kasich’s signature program for attracting new business, Jobs Ohio. The program is already credited with creating 21,000 new Ohio jobs and retaining 60,000 more.
- House and Senate Democrats even sued the state (Twice!) to prevent JobsOhio from being implemented, possibly costing the state millions of dollars in lost revenue and preventing job creation.
