Not a single Democrat voted for Governor John Kasich’s Jobs Budget which he signed June 2011. The results of his budget eliminated an $8 billion budget shortfall and cut taxes to spur job growth.
Only two of 40 House Democrats (and Only 8 Senate Democrats) voted to create Governor Kasich’s signature program for attracting new business, Jobs Ohio. The program is already credited with creating 21,000 new Ohio jobs and retaining 60,000 more.
House and Senate Democrats even sued the state (Twice!) to prevent JobsOhio from being implemented, possibly costing the state millions of dollars in lost revenue and preventing job creation.
